Through a combination of ancient wisdom and cutting-edge science, I help you rediscover the healing power of food to achieve optimal health.
About
Food is not just fuel.
It is memory, culture, biology, and relationship.
It shapes how we feel in our bodies, how resilient we are to stress, how we heal, and how we move through the world. Yet for many people today, the relationship with food, and with their own body, has become confusing, fragmented, or rooted in fear.
My work exists to gently change that.
I help people move away from control, restriction, and symptom-chasing, and toward a more informed, trusting, and sustainable relationship with their health.
My Work
I’m Lana, a UK-trained nutritional therapist with a BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Therapy, and over a decade of clinical experience supporting individuals with complex, long-standing health concerns.
My work is grounded in functional and integrative nutrition, informed by advanced training through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), including completion of the Applied Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP).
I work primarily with people who are doing “all the right things” on paper — eating well, exercising, managing busy lives — yet still feel tired, inflamed, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their bodies. People who sense that something isn’t quite working, even if they can’t always explain why.
Rather than viewing symptoms in isolation, I take a systems-based approach, exploring how nutrition, digestion, stress physiology, hormones, immunity, lifestyle, and environment interact over time.
Because the body never operates in isolation.
I am registered with the CNHC (the UK voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners) and a full member of BANT (British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine).
How I Work
My work begins with listening — to your history, your symptoms, your patterns, and the wider context of your life.
I take a whole-person, functional approach that looks beyond surface-level symptoms to understand why the body is responding the way it is. Together, we explore the deeper patterns influencing your health, including stress adaptation, digestive function, nutrient status, hormonal balance, immune resilience, sleep, lifestyle, and environment.
Where clinically appropriate, I use functional testing to help uncover root causes and guide personalised support. This may include identifying nutritional imbalances, digestive dysfunction, inflammatory patterns, or stress-related adaptations. Testing is always used with intention, never as a tick-box exercise, and never without clear relevance to your health picture.
This work is not about chasing perfection or rigid protocols.
It is about building clarity, restoring balance, and creating change that is sustainable in real life.
The strategies we develop are practical, evidence-informed, and designed to support your body’s natural capacity to adapt, heal, and function more resiliently — with compassion and respect for where you are.
Food at the Centre
Food sits at the centre of everything I do, not as a tool for control, but as a foundation for physiological health and reconnection.
In practice, this means prioritising whole, nutrient-dense foods in ways that support digestion, blood sugar balance, hormonal health, and resilience to stress. It also means respecting cultural context, individual preference, and the realities of daily life.
I don’t believe in using food as punishment or restriction. Instead, my work focuses on rebuilding trust, helping you understand how different foods affect your body, and how to eat in a way that feels supportive rather than punitive.
Food should support health and pleasure.
Structure and flexibility.
Healing should not feel punishing.
Why This Work Matters to Me
I wasn’t always working in health.
My own experiences with chronic ill-health, autoimmunity, anxiety, depression, and periods of deep disconnection from my body have shaped how I practice today. They taught me that healing is rarely linear, and that information alone is not enough.
Lasting change comes from education paired with support, curiosity, and trust, and from creating the right conditions for the body to restore balance.
Today, my role is not to “fix” you. It is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your body, learn to interpret its signals, and build a relationship with food and health that feels steady, informed, and safe.
Beyond the Clinic
Outside my clinical work, I’m a mother, a passionate cook, and a lifelong student of food traditions, natural medicine, and the ways culture and environment shape how we eat and heal.
I’m deeply inspired by ancestral wisdom, ecological thinking, and the understanding that nourishment extends far beyond what’s on the plate.
An Invitation
This work is for those seeking a more thoughtful, grounded approach to health, one that looks beyond quick fixes and honours the complexity of being human.
It’s an invitation to slow down, to listen, and to build a more trusting relationship with your body, rooted in knowledge, care, and respect.
What some of my clients are saying:
“I suffered from high cholesterol, chronic cystitis and a lack of energy. The therapy helped me overcome all of it in less than 3 months. Today I feel better, energized, and healthier. What's unique is Lana's dedication and tailored support: she holds an elixir of goodness that is priceless.”
— Rita B, London.
“Lana presented me with a wealth of nutritional information and walked me through every step of my digestive rehabilitation for the past 3-months that included natural supplements that have relieved me of all my ailments, feeling super. She's also a wonderful listener that exhibits so much positive energy, someone you can definitely trust!”
— Omar R, Dubai.
I went to Lana in a very difficult time in my life. Lana was amazing and made the session such a pleasant experience. She asked all the right questions, questions I wouldn’t have normally linked to Nutrition. You truly feel you are there for nutritional therapy and not just a typical “Meal Plan”. Her wealth of knowledge on the subject proves how passionate she is. She is living proof of her methods - I can’t wait to work with her more in the future.”
— Daneh A, Dubai.
“I came to Lana between baby 1 and 2 and have been hooked ever since, sending everyone I know. She approached my issues - anxiety, difficulty sleeping, bloating and general stomach discomforts - by looking at me, my lifestyle and my diet as a whole. I've tried everything under the sun to kill the bloating, nothing ever worked until I implemented everything I took from Lana. I sorted so much that I was able to keep up with my toddler for the rest of my pregnancy.”
— Serene X, Saudi Arabia.
